Every year thousands of children experience our fun, informative hands-on learning sessions. Our activities have been created with secondary teachers and specialists to enhance learning through Brighton & Hove Museums’ unique collections and buildings.

KS3
- Royal Pavilion Welcome Tour – This tour will take your through the history of Brighton from a fishing town, a fashionable spa town to the arrival of the Prince Regent, soon to be King George IV.
- Empire on the Seafront – Follow in the footsteps of the Indian Soldiers who were sent to recover from injury and illness at the hospital set up in The Royal Pavilion in Brighton. Hear their stories and learn about their experiences on the Western Front, and during their time in Brighton.
- Power to the People: Local Stories of Protest and Activism – Join us at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery for a hands-on session exploring local stories of protest and activism in Brighton and Hove. Learn about people, groups, and places that have influenced change in our city. Leave with your own mini textile banner or zine.
- Drawing Dragons – Add creativity to your visit to the Royal Pavilion with this inspiring add-on session. Designed to complement a Royal Pavilion Tour or a self-led school visit, this workshop gives students the chance to slow down, look closely and reflect. Seated in the magnificent Music Room, students will draw from observation, taking inspiration from its dramatic colours, bold patterns, and fantastic creatures deepening their experience of this extraordinary building.
