Home Education groups at Brighton & Hove Museums

We very much welcome Home Education groups.
We run a dedicated Home Education day three times a year at the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum & Art Gallery.
We can offer bespoke sessions at all our sites for Home Education groups upon request, with a maximum of 15 children. Due to space limitations at our museum sites, we ask that a maximum of two adults accompany each child.
Please be aware that each child will need to be supervised by a parent/adult guardian throughout the entirety of your visit and session.

All sessions this month are for children between 10-16.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Preston Manor
Murder at the Manor
13:00 – 14:30

It’s 1933 and the new Stanford Museum is about to open. But a visitor has been murdered, and the gardener has been arrested!

Only YOU can help!

Be a detective and help prove the poor gardener’s innocence. You’ll have to examine the evidence, follow the clues, build up an argument and crack the case!

Power to the People
10:00 – 12:00

People in Brighton & Hove have a long history of standing up for what is right and speaking out.

In this session, we will visit the Power, People & Protest exhibition and look at some special objects from the collection. We will learn about people, groups and places that helped make things better in Brighton & Hove. Then you can pick a cause that matters to you and make your own protest banner to take home!

Pavilion Gardens
Eco Colour Workshop.
13:30 – 3:00

Come and explore the beautiful Pavilion Gardens and enjoy all the amazing colours around you!

You will learn how to make your own dyes using plants, look at some rare and special specimens and pictures from the museum’s collection, and then create your very own piece of art!

Museum Lunchroom will be available from 12:00-13:00 on the 22 July.
