• Tickets are only valid for the date and time booked.
• Confirmation will be emailed to you - digital tickets on mobile devices are accepted (no need to print).

Changes & Cancellations

• We do not offer refunds for cancellations made by visitors.
• If you are unable to visit due to illness or circumstances beyond your control, we offer transfer of tickets to another name or transfer of tickets to another date.
• If B&HM cancels an event, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund, including booking fees.

Please note that in order to make a Gift Aid declaration, you need to be paying the same amount or more of UK income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax as all charities and CASCs will claim on your gifts in a tax year. If this isn’t the case, you are responsible for paying the difference. If the information you provided to us is correct, you don’t need to take any further action. However, if there are any mistakes or omissions, or if you’ve decided that you don’t want to Gift Aid your donation, please let us know within 30 days of making your purchase. You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration at any time by contacting us. Thank you for your valuable support.

  • Visitors aged 14+ may visit unaccompanied.
  • Under 14s must be accompanied by someone aged 16+.
  • Under 5s go free (ticket required).
• Groups:
  • Groups of 12+ paying visitors receive discounted rates (must be booked in advance).
• Accessibility:
  • We aim to make our venues as accessible as possible.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Accessible toilets, lifts, and ramps are available at most sites. Please check individual venue information.
• Security & Safety:
  • Bag checks may be carried out on entry.
  • Dangerous or prohibited items (knives, scissors, tools, sprays, replica weapons, etc.) are not allowed.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask visitors to leave if behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.
• Smoking & Vaping:
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside our buildings.
• Food & Drink:
  • Only permitted in our cafés:
    • The Botanist (Royal Pavilion)
    • Café Rust (Preston Manor & Hove Museum of Creativity)
• Photography & Recording:
  • Visitors may take photos for personal, non-commercial use.
  • No tripods, flash, drones, or professional equipment without prior permission.
  • Filming or photography for commercial purposes must be arranged in advance.
  • Some exhibitions may prohibit photography—please follow signage.
• Digital Experiences:
  • Some events may use augmented reality, AI, or sound/visual recordings. By attending, you consent to being part of these experiences unless you inform staff otherwise.
• Health & Safety: Please follow staff instructions at all times. Do not touch objects or displays unless invited.
• Sustainability: We encourage all visitors to reduce waste and use digital tickets where possible.
• Lost Property: Items found will be held for up to 30 days. Please contact us to reclaim lost items.
• Wi-Fi & Digital Services: Free Wi-Fi is available at all venues. Availability may vary. B&HM is not responsible for data charges or connection issues.
• Event Duration:
  • Royal Pavilion audio tour: approx. 1 hour.
  • Preston Manor: approx. 1 hour.
  • Allow extra time for shops and cafés.
