Power to the People: Local Stories of Protest and Activism

2 hours, KS3, KS4 or KS5

Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

There is a long history of protest and activism in Brighton & Hove – of people coming together to speak out again injustice. In this session we will visit the Power, People & Protest exhibition and examine related objects in the museum’s collection.

We learn about people, groups and places that have influenced change in Brighton & Hove. We identify themes or a cause that matters to individuals in the group to inspire our own protest banners or zines to take away, display at school or share in your community.
