Brighton & Hove Museums is ready for a dazzling start to 2025 with an incredible line-up of exhibitions and events, led by the spectacular COLOUR exhibition at the Royal Pavilion. Opening on International Colour Day (21 March), this must-see showcase dives into the science, history, and cultural significance of colour, combining art and innovation for a truly chromatic experience.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Brighton & Hove Albion: A Year in Europe exhibitions continue at Brighton Museum alongside exciting new art installations, The Vanishing Forest by the Bradwell Blacksmiths, and Brighton is… a colourful mural by Soofiya. Meanwhile as part of the ongoing Mechanical Circus exhibition, Hove Museum hosts Darktown Cabaret, an enchanting and quirky workshop by folk artist Jonny Hannah, where guests are invited to create a magical miniature stage set for an evening at the legendary Mermaid Café.
History enthusiasts can rejoice as Preston Manor reopens on 5 April 2025 with a new visitor experience. Explore the world of the Stanford family, where the “upstairs-downstairs” life of Edwardian society comes alive in this remarkable stately home. From glamour to ghosts, discover the intriguing stories that make Preston Manor a place of mystery and charm.
Across all our museums families can enjoy creative workshops, storytelling sessions, and play days. Young people can get ghost hunting with a special Ghost Story-Writing workshop at Preston Manor or experiment at a Photography workshop at Brighton Museum.
