The Great Dragon Count
No one has ever counted all the dragons in the Royal Pavilion’s 200-year history. Until now.
We are teaming up with DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole to challenge families visiting the DRAGONS exhibition to uncover just how many dragons live inside the palace.
Visitors (UK residents only) are invited to write down their final total and contact details and submit the answer in person by speaking to staff at the front desk or in the shop at the end of their tour, or online using the form below.
The closest answer to the real total will win two nights’ accommodation in DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole, including breakfast on both mornings and an evening meal in the Metropole Bar to be redeemed in 2027.
The winner will be selected once the exhibition ends on 01 November 2026 and informed of the good news within two weeks of the exhibition ending.

The Great Dragon Count T&Cs
- Competition open to UK residents only
- Prize is for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children).
- The prize includes 2 night stay in best available room, breakfast both mornings and a 2 course dinner for the adults and dinner from children’s menu.
- No cash or other alternative to the stated prize is available, except in the event of unforeseen circumstances the stated prize is no longer available, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize or a prize of equal or greater value.
- The prize does not include travel.
- The prize must be redeemed within a year of the winner being announced and is subject to availability at time of booking. It includes blackout dates, which may be subject to change, such as, but not limited to, Bank Holidays, Brighton Pride and Christmas.
- In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be drawn at random.
