Scanning the Royal Pavilion
We have recently been lucky enough to scan the whole of the Pavilion internally and externally with a laser scanner and take thousands of photographs of the exterior using a drone.
This has recorded every accessible area, including voids and roof spaces. It will provide us with precise plans, sections, elevations and a 3D model, to inform future designs and fire safety. The information acts as an in-depth record of the building and will assist in ongoing best practice when making decisions relating to the Pavilion’s historic significance.
