Step into a vivid vision of the creativity, style and influence of Biba’s golden years and rediscover the style that defined an era.
In the 1960s Barbara Hulanicki revolutionised fashion retail, bringing Biba directly into people’s homes through a series of photographic catalogues. Collaborating with some of the most celebrated photographers of the era – Hans Feurer, Sarah Moon, Helmut Newton, Harri Peccinotti and Donald Silverstein. These striking atmospheric images defined the Biba look for a generation.
This exhibition showcases original photographs from Hulanicki’s archive, many of which have never been seen publicly before. Alongside these rare images visitors can also explore one iconic garment from each of the six catalogues.
