Be among the first to experience the new Brighton & Hove Albion FC: Stand or Fall gallery at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery during a special opening weekend inspired by football, creativity and community.
Across two days, Brighton Museum will host a programme of activities, installations and surprises for visitors of all ages. You can expect

Please note Saturday activities are focused indoors at the Museum to accommodate matchday schedules, while Sunday expands across both the Museum and the Royal Pavilion Garden. Picnic blankets welcome!

11:00am – 11:40am: Brighton School of Samba Performance
The Brighton School of Samba brings carnival energy to the museum entrance to open the launch weekend.
Inside Brighton Museum (11:00am – 4:00 pm):
- Albion Gallery Open: Explore the brand-new permanent gallery space.
- Matchday Studio: Dress up in Albion kits, snap photos with giant speech props, and share your photos online.
- Giant Fanzine Creation: Help build a massive collaborative Dogma fanzine page dedicated to Albion and the new gallery.
- Badgemaking: Design and craft your own custom football badges in the Art Room.
- Pundit’s Corner: Cast your season predictions using giant jars, ping pong balls, and interactive prediction boards.
- Matchday Projections: Watch iconic Albion moments projected in the gallery space.
- Sally the Seagull Mascot: Roaming the museum and entrance for photos.
- Foyer Soundscape: Music and stadium ambience will be spilling through the doors!
Sunday 16 August
Indoor activities at Brighton Museum are included with Museum admission. Members go free. Outdoor activities in the Royal Pavilion Garden are free to attend.
Brighton Museum (11:00am – 4:00 pm):

- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Football Freestyler (2 x 30-minute performance sessions)
- 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Foundation Football Coaching (Drop-in skill and training sessions for kids)
Outdoor Fan Zone in the Garden (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM):
- Live Music: DJ Ellie Talebian spinning tunes from the Disco Bug van with an interactive bubble machine!
- Albion Legends & Academy Players: Meet-and-greets throughout the day.
- Mascots: Both Gully and Sally Seagull roaming the gardens.
- Facepainting: Free football and custom designs by Brighton Body Art.
- Roaming Entertainment: Kiki Lahula the hula hooper on the lawn.
- Giant Inflatable Football: Insta-moment for all!
- Garden Spotters Trail: Albion-themed activity trail for children.
- Outdoor Pundit’s Corner: Make your season predictions on the lawn.
- Food & Drinks: Ice cream vans, with picnics warmly encouraged.
