Brighton & Hove Museums offer creative workshops, for small groups of up to 15 people. These sessions are a great way to explore our museums and collections.

Ghost story writing at Preston Manor
Have you ever wondered what makes a good ghost story? Step inside one of Britain’s most haunted houses. Discover Preston Manor’s own tales of ghostly sightings. Take part in a series of fun, interactive activities, and games. Create suspense, atmosphere and intrigue in your own writing.

Power to The People!
Make protest art at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery
Learn about local protest and activism history. Explore issues and ideas through engagement with museum objects. Discover stories about women, LGBTQIA+, children and people of colour. Make your own piece of protest art.
There are two creative options for this workshop,
- Option 1: make a banner/flag
- Option 2: make a zine

Suitable for people aged 13+
Catching the Sun
Sun printing at Hove Museum of Creativity
Learn how to manipulate light from the sun and darkroom chemicals. Make your own magical Cyanotypes, Chemigrams and Lumen prints. Take home your own beautiful images.
Suitable for people age 13 +
There is a Cyanotype and gold leaf option. This is for groups who don’t want to use darkroom chemicals. Please get in touch to discuss.
How to book
The workshops are available to be booked during the Museums’ normal opening hours. If you would like to book outside of these times, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Prices
The workshops are charged at £120 for a maximum of 15 participants.
