The lattice-tower floodlights rise above either side of the Goldstone, illuminating the ground. Their glow became synonymous with memorable evening matches after their install in 1961. When the stadium was demolished most lights were lost. However, one was rescued by a supporter and presented to Albion legend Peter Ward.
