Storytime, art and purr-fect adventures this February half-term!

Brighton & Hove Museums is inviting families to enjoy a half-term full of imagination, creativity and fun this February.

Storytelling fun

Storytelling begins at Hove Museum on Monday 16 February, 30 March and 6 April with drop-in sessions at the same times for different age groups. Families can enjoy entertaining tales that bring the museum’s stories to life.

On Thursday 19 February, little ones can also gather around the fire in the Archaeology Gallery at Brighton Museum for storytelling sessions. Children aged four and under can join from 10.30–11am and 1–1.30pm, while those aged five and above are welcome 11.30am–12pm and 1.30–2pm. The sessions are free with museum admission and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Art & Crafts

For children who love to get creative, the Art Club at Brighton Museum runs on Wednesdays 18 February, 1 and 8 April from 10–11.30am and 2–3.30pm. Ages 5–13 can take inspiration from the museum’s collection and create their own art and craft projects with admission included in the museum entry.

Hove Museum’s Art Club meets on Thursdays 19 February, 2 and 9 April at the same times. Tickets can be booked online and are £7 per session or three for £15 in advance with a 15% discount for members.

Explore identity at Brighton Museum 

Families can also explore Gender Stories at Brighton Museum until 12 April 2026. This exhibition looks at the fluid world of gender across cultures, eras and personal experiences. Free with museum admission it combines art, historical objects and community stories to spark reflection and conversation about identity, expression and belonging.

Cat tales 

For a playful adventure, follow George the Pavilion cat trail at the Royal Pavilion. Spot George as he explores the palace and complete the family-friendly trail while enjoying the extraordinary surroundings. Admission tickets can be booked online.
