Victorian Servants
90 mins, KS2
Preston Manor & Gardens
The year is 1897 and Brighton’s most famous Manor House is looking for new servants!
By invitation of Mr Beesley, the butler, you will need to prove you are the right person for the job. Can you show the skills needed to work in a grand Victorian home?
You’ll try the real tasks of servants – polishing silver, making beds, grinding spices, sweeping floors, beating rugs, and much more. It’s tough work at Preston Manor, and Mr Beesley wants cheerful, hardworking servants who don’t mind getting their hands dirty – and no complaining!
Are you ready to take on the challenge?
