Victorian Servants
60 mins, KS1
Preston Manor & Gardens

The year is 1897, and Brighton’s most famous Manor House has opened its doors to… A School for Servants!

Your class will step into the past and learn what it was like to work for a wealthy family in Victorian times.

There’s lots to do – polish silver, make beds, grind spices, sweep floors, beat rugs and much more. It’s hard work, and Mr Beesley, the butler, needs keen, cheerful servants who aren’t afraid to get busy!
