Brighton in the Stone Age

1 hour, KS1&2

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

Have you ever wondered what life was really like for people in the Stone Age?

Come to the Elaine Evans Archaeology Gallery and travel back thousands of years to explore life in Neolithic Brighton. You’ll take part in exciting escape-room style puzzles and hands-on activities as you spend a day on Whitehawk Hill, a Stone Age site in Brighton.

Work in teams to crack codes, solve clues, and discover your role in the village. You’ll handle real Stone Age objects, trade goods with neighbours, hear old folklore stories, and learn about the real people who lived – and thrived – here long ago.
