All of the Royal Pavilion & Museums buildings will be closed on 30 & 31 March 2020 as we get ready for the next exciting new chapter in our history as we become a charitable trust. The Royal Pavilion & Museums have been engaging people with our extraordinary buildings and collections for over 165 years. The move to Trust will ensure that we can safeguard these precious assets for future generations.

We will be closing the following buildings for 2 days for staff training and to install new computer equipment and services. We may also be unable to respond to phone calls and emails over this period.
We will re-open on 1 April 2020 as the Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust.

The buildings that will be closing temporarily are:
The Royal Pavilion
Brighton Museum & Art Gallery
Hove Museum & Art Gallery (re-opens 2 April)
The Booth Museum of Natural History
Preston Manor

Group visits

The Royal Pavilion is very busy during July and August, especially at the weekends, and during this time we do not admit any unbooked groups. Please call our bookings team on 03000 290901 if you are bringing a group and they will give you a time slot for entry. Visit our Travel trade and groups page for more information.

Storage Facilities

We regret that we do not have the facilities to store any luggage and in line with many historic buildings large luggage and suitcases are not permitted inside the palace due to conservation reasons.

We do have a buggy park but luggage and other items must not be left in this room.
