Brighton & Hove Museums celebrates Pride with a programme of events and special offers
Brighton & Hove Museums is pulling out all the stops for Brighton & Hove Pride 2026, with a vibrant programme of events celebrating the city’s LGBTQ+ community, from an unforgettable evening inside the Royal Pavilion to family-friendly activities, special museum offers and a colourful presence in the Pride parade.
Pride at the Pavilion
One of the highlights of the programme is Pride at the Pavilion, returning to the Royal Pavilion on Thursday 30 July. Following a hugely successful debut last year, Brighton & Hove Museums is once again partnering with Brighton & Hove Pride to host an evening of fabulous entertainment, delicious food and fundraising in one of Britain’s most extraordinary buildings.
The evening will be hosted by Brighton cabaret legend Joe Black, with performances from the acclaimed Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus, creating an unforgettable celebration of Pride in Brighton’s original party palace. Guests will enjoy three glasses of premium English sparkling wine from Roebuck Estates (or a soft drink alternative), alongside a bowl food reception served within the magnificent Royal Pavilion. A cash bar will also be available.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the evening’s dress code of ‘Proud & Fabulous’, adding even more colour and glamour to the Royal Pavilion’s opulent Regency interiors.
£70 per person. Advanced booking required. All proceeds will support the charitable work of both Brighton & Hove Museums and Brighton & Hove Pride, helping to protect the city’s heritage while supporting LGBTQ+ communities throughout the year.
Family-friendly Pride Picnic
For families looking for a quieter way to enjoy Pride weekend, the Pavilion Pride Picnic opens on Saturday 1 August from 11am to 3pm on the North Lawn of the Royal Pavilion Garden. This free, alcohol-free space offers families the chance to relax with their own picnic away from the bustle of the city celebrations.

Part of the colourful parade
Brighton & Hove Museums will also be taking part in the Brighton & Hove Pride parade, celebrating that ‘Everyone here is a work of art!’. Friends from Queer Heritage South will join the organisation aboard its open-top bus, highlighting the importance of celebrating LGBTQ+ history, creativity and community.
Special offer
Visitors can also make the most of a special Pride weekend offer. On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August, anyone showing their rainbow at the door can enjoy two-for-one admission to both the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. Terms and conditions apply.

Preston Manor temporarily closed to support Pride on the Park Festival
Preston Manor will be closed to the public the weekend of Friday 31 July, Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August to support the Brighton & Hove Pride on the Park Festival taking place in Preston Park. The Manor will reopen to visitors Monday 3 August. Other venues, including Royal Pavilion, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and Hove Museum of Creativity, will remain open as usual throughout the weekend.
