Explore Brighton & Hove Museums this Heritage Open Days Season

We are opening our doors with a series of free events as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days.
On Saturday 13 September, the Booth Museum invites visitors to drop in between 12–4pm to meet curators, take part in family-friendly activities, and discover how animal stories are being explored from a decolonised perspective. At 2pm, art historian Dr Alexandra Loske will give a free bookable talk, The King and his Menageries: Giraffes, Zebras and other Creatures in the Georgian Era.
This event has now been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
On Sunday 14 September, all ages are welcome to join activities in the Royal Pavilion Garden from 12–4pm (weather permitting). Visitors can explore the science of shape and colour in nature, and see how plants and colours in the garden echo the iconic architecture of the Royal Pavilion.
The celebrations continue on Thursday 18 September at Hove Museum, with a special event hosted in partnership with Hove Civic Society and St. Andrew’s Primary School. From 1.30–3pm, a talk and display will look at how environment, art, heritage, sport and recreation can shape a positive vision of Future Hove. Free but advance booking is recommended.
