An exclusive insight into historical sources held in the Royal Pavilion archives which have never been made accessible to the public in the past, from the perspective of the Royal Pavilion’s first Archivist Saadia Khan- you will be hearing newly surfaced stories which have been uncovered throughout the process of cataloguing the Royal Pavilion’s collections, and how research has contributed to introducing us to new individuals pivotal to shaping the Pavilion we see today. You will be hearing from Dr Alexandra Loske, Curator for the Royal Pavilion and published author of the Royal Pavilion Brighton: A Regency Palace of Colour and Sensation who will be talking you through four chosen objects which will paint you a picture of the proposed vision of the Royal Pavilion along with an insight as to what might have been.

You will have the unique experience of viewing items which take us back to the early nineteenth century and obtain knowledge of newly surfaced research which is pivotal to our understanding of the Royal Pavilion as we know it today. Join us to share in this exciting moment for the Royal Pavilion, and collectively experience the Pavilion through the eyes of the Royal Pavilions Archivist and Curator collaboratively for the first time.
