Essential Restoration at the Royal Pavilion

Visitors to the Royal Pavilion will notice extra activity over the coming weeks (summer 2026) as two essential repair projects get underway around the estate.

Scaffolding is currently going up at the back of the Royal Pavilion as we prepare to start a fresh round of restoration work. Specialist teams will focus on repairing the historic masonry, restoring the windows and redecorating the façade. While scheduled for 16 weeks, contractors expect to complete the project within 12.

Additionally, work will soon begin to repair the chimney serving 4 and 5 Pavilion Buildings, which has developed a slight twist following years of exposure to the coastal elements.

Both experienced contracting teams are working closely with our staff to keep disruption to a minimum for visitors. We appreciate your patience while we carry out this vital preservation work, and our team is happy to answer any questions.
