This Father’s Day, the Royal Pavilion is inviting families to enter the Palace of Dragons, and dads can get in for a FIRE-ver (a fiery £5 entry!).
On Sunday 21 June, fathers and father figures can enjoy special discounted entry to the Royal Pavilion while exploring DRAGONS, a family-friendly exhibition filled with myth, magic and adventure.
But there is a problem. The baby dragons have escaped.
Visitors are being called upon to help track them down as they make their way through the palace. Along the trail, families can search for dragon eggs, follow a dragon quest and help guide the young dragons safely home. Aspiring dragon hunters can also step into a dragon’s mouth, spot hidden dragons in mirrors, listen to dragons roaring through the palace halls and become Royal Pavilion Dragon Detectives.
The adventure continues throughout the building, where dragons can be found watching over the Royal Pavilion itself – carved into its architecture, glimmering in gold and hiding in unexpected corners. From fearsome beasts to symbols of wisdom and power, the exhibition explores how dragons have captured imaginations for centuries.
In the Prince Regent Gallery, Fire and Water: Dreaming of Dragons takes visitors on a journey across Europe and Asia, revealing the many ways dragons have appeared in stories, art and culture around the world.
Whether you’re joining the hunt for runaway baby dragons or discovering the history behind these legendary creatures, there is plenty to explore together this Father’s Day.
The £5 Father’s Day ticket offer is available on the door only on Sunday 21 June. No advance booking is required – simply speak to the ticket desk on arrival to claim the discount.
