Brighton Museum closure: 23 & 24 September 2025

Brighton Museum will be closed on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 September to allow access for a large crane as part of the final phase of our roof restoration project.

The closure is necessary to prioritise visitor and staff safety while the crane operates and materials are moved on site. We understand that this may cause some disruption to your plans, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

The museum will reopen as usual on Thursday 25  September at 10am, ready to welcome visitors once more. We thank you for your understanding and support as we complete this major restoration project, which will help preserve Brighton Museum for generations to come.
