A Warm Welcome for Older Audiences at Hove Museum

Hove Museum took part in the Ageing Well festival recently with a fantastic talk by Louise Peskett about the fascinating historical women of Hove.

This sell out event had been organised to be particularly welcoming to our older audiences and accommodating of those visitors who may have Alzheimer’s.

Louise had fantastic feedback with guests saying that they had enjoyed a more relaxed atmosphere at the talk. Hove Museum with its lift access, on site cafe and accessible workshop space is an excellent venue for those with access issues.

The Museum will host a second event this autumn focused on offering something special for our older audiences with a ‘Catching the sun: camera- less photography’ workshop on the 6 November with artist Sam Hobbs.
