Your Reception

Our beautiful rooms can be hired for your reception even if you are not holding your ceremony with us. All catering is supplied by your choice of one of our approved caterers.

The William IV Room

This room, situated on the first floor above the Red Drawing Room, is not open to the general public and benefits from its own private entrance leading directly from the Royal Pavilion’s Garden. Exquisitely decorated, this light and airy room features hand-painted wallpaper and oriental lanterns. Ideal for a seated wedding breakfast, this room can do it all.

Hire the King William IV Room alone or with the Red Drawing Room for your ceremony as a suite of rooms.

The Banqueting Room

Once the setting for great State banquets, George IV’s stunning Banqueting Room is an opulent space fit for Royalty. After your ceremony there can be no grander way to celebrate than with a seated wedding breakfast in this iconic setting. Dazzle your guests with the rich decoration, collection of gold plate and dragon holding up the enormous chandelier!

Hire of the Banqueting Room for a seated wedding breakfast includes hire of the Great Kitchen or King’s Lawn for a pre-drinks reception.

Hire The Banqueting Room at the Royal Pavilion

We also offer the opportunity for a shorter drinks reception in one of our iconic spaces to celebrate after your ceremony with us, before you depart the Royal Pavilion. With options for a one hour or two hour reception, your guests can toast your special day in a truly historic setting.

The Kings Lawn

Set within the beautiful Regency gardens of the Royal Pavilion, the Kings Lawn includes an elegant stone terrace to serve your guests drinks and refreshments from. A wet weather option can also be provided.

The Adelaide Suite

Formally the bedroom suite of Queen Adelaide, this bright and charming room includes a large stone terrace overlooking the Royal Pavilion gardens. A wonderful choice for a summer’s evening.

Please note that as an historic building the Royal Pavilion is not suitable for parties and live bands and dancing are not permitted. This is permitted, however, in our Central Gallery of Brighton Museum & Gallery

Central Gallery

Our grand Victorian Central Gallery is a large open space with high ceilings and walls displaying some of Brighton’s greatest treasures. A large and versatile space, this makes a wonderful setting for a wedding breakfast, especially after a ceremony in the Royal Pavilion’s stunning Music Room. We can seat 120* with space for a dance floor and can provide the beautiful upper galleries for a pre-drinks reception.
