Local school raises money for Booth Museum of Natural History

Brighton & Hove Museums were thrilled to receive a cheque from three students at Windlesham School for the Booth Museum of Natural History.

The eleven-year-olds are all year 6 pupils who were given Posts of Responsibility as Charity Reps during their last year at the school in Dyke Road came to present the money.

£372.48 was raised during a charity afternoon, when the children came to school dressed to represent the theme the Evolution & Conservation of the Plant & Animal Kingdoms.

Over the year the boys have helped to raise £2872.46 for various local charities. They presented the cheque to Booth Museum staff last week.

We were really touched and grateful to receive this donation. We know the Booth Museum is a special place for local families and schools and it is lovely to see it demonstrated in this way. We will make sure the money is used to help make the museum even more welcoming.
