Stories in Collage: Creative Paper Collage Workshop

Hove Museum of Creativity
20 July 2024

Priority booking on all adult events for members and patrons from 25 March to 2 April. General release 3 April.

Saturday 20 July 12-4pm £60, members £55, book in advance. Ages 16+

What’s your story? Explore the narrative possibilities of collaging directly into books and journals. Express yourself creatively, embrace the unexpected and try a range of techniques to produce your own artwork.
The basics will be covered, as well as offering some helpful tricks and tips to getting a good finish. All materials are provided, although you are encouraged to bring any journals, books, or other paper objects that you might like to work with. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced crafters and artists.

The workshop leader
For the last 14 years Fiona Story has worked as an illustrator alongside and inspired by her day job at Brighton & Hove Museums. A self-confessed multi-media-poly-crafter her favourite medium to work in is paper. Her work ranges from artist’s books to museum trails and miniature mouse dioramas. She delights in the hide and seek of weaving narratives out of things that can be found (and hidden) in the everyday.
