Contract: Fixed term for 1 year from 1 April 2025
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £28,163 – £30,060
Reports to: Creative Programme Manager
Location: All sites across Brighton & Hove Museums portfolio

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced exhibition organiser to join Brighton & Hove Museums Exhibitions & Programmes team working across an extraordinary portfolio of museums and their collections.
Reporting to a Creative Programme Manager and working as part of a lively and busy team, the Creative Programmer will help to devise and implement a programme of temporary exhibitions, displays, projects and events across Brighton & Hove Museums. Current projects include The In Crowd: Mod Fashion & Style 1958-66; COLOUR A Chromatic Promenade through the Royal Pavilion; Gender Stories; and a programme of creative and diverse events.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of developing temporary exhibitions and events programmes for a range of audiences in a museum / gallery context
- Knowledge of current national and regional policies and issues affecting museums and historic houses
- Experience of project management
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop project teams, maintaining effective working relationships
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with people on all levels, both inside and outside the organisation
Please note that this role does not meet the requirement for the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) Points based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the right to work in the UK.
