A creative collective for mothers in Brighton to find community and rediscover their identity. Matrescence, meaning becoming a mother, often means a woman’s needs get lost when she is spending so much time caring for her baby.
Crafty Mothers Drawing on the craft collection at Hove Museum of Creativity, this session will reflect on how making has long supported mothers’ needs. Whether for practicality, creativity, or simply a moment of calm, Crafty Mothers will introduce simple techniques and ideas to carry into the festive season.
We will be exploring motherhood through writing, visual art, and shared stories in a space where your voice matters.
Each session will include a guided visit.
