A Very Austen Christmas at the Royal Pavilion

22 November 2025 to 4 January 2026

ROYAL PAVILION

Free with Royal Pavilion admission, members free

Join us this festive season as Jane Austen’s much-loved characters pay a visit to George IV’s Royal Pavilion in search of Christmas cheer.

Enjoy themed Christmas trees, a family-friendly trail, seasonal scents, carols, and costumed characters as the Royal Pavilion is transformed for a Regency-style celebration full of charm, atmosphere, and Austen-inspired delights.

This year’s celebration marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth. George IV admired her novels and kept a set in all his residences, though Austen herself was far less impressed and only dedicated her 1816 novel Emma to him out of obligation. Now their worlds meet once more as Austen arrives at the Royal Pavilion for a glittering ball, facing an important decision that could change everything.
