Our Work with Young People

We offer opportunities for young people aged 14-25 years old, outside of formal education. These include groups like the Museum Collective, and short term projects linked to exhibitions and events. Our work with young people is often targeted at specific groups in the community.

Past projects

Remix the Museum (Aug-Nov 2014)

Digital animations produced by young people were displayed in Brighton Museum & Art Gallery for Brighton Digital Festival 2014. Produced in collaboration with Brighton Youth Film Festival and animator Dave Packer of Sheep Films.

You can learn more about the display on the Remix the Museum project Tumblr.

Keep the Home Fires Burning (June 2014)

As part of our programme of events marking the centenary of the outbreak of WW1, young actors from Brighton Youth Theatre transformed Preston Manor with a ‘site specific’ piece of theatre.
