Earlier this year the Royal Pavilion & Museums worked with Photoworks to welcome young women from Portslade Aldridge Community Academy to explore Brighton Museum’s exhibition Anita Corbin,100 First Women Portraits as part of their Photography Club.
They were invited to a tour of the exhibition with Anita Corbin as she installed her work and also took part in a series of workshops.
The girls were inspired to create new artworks exploring their own lives and identities. They produced the fantastic exhibition ‘This Is Me’.
Unfortunately, the exhibition has been postponed, but you can view the works online with more information about the project on the Photoworks website. Take a look at a sample of their hard work.
