To perk up this gloomy January take a moment to look at the Common Snowdrop.
Flowering late winter to early spring, these are some of the earliest flowers to be seen and cheer up any dark, cold winter day. To be found in spreading groups in most parts of the Pavilion Gardens, they need a cool, partially shaded position and humous rich, moist soil.
Propagate by division in spring after flowering (referred to as ‘in the green’) or plant bulbs in groups or drifts in the autumn.
