Royal Pavilion Garden Plant of the Month: February

This month’s plant is a Chimonanthus Praecox. It is more commonly known as Wintersweet and was introduced from China in 1766.

The clusters of pale lemon waxy flowers give a beautiful scent in Winter. The Wintersweet prefers a sheltered spot and you can find it in the Royal Pavilion Gardens located in a bed immediately as you enter Northgate straight in front of you.
