Queer Looks will be a new exhibition opening in Summer 2018 displaying outfits, photographs and film which reflect the extraordinary lives of LGBTQ residents. We need you to help us shape this exhibition by bringing clothes to Brighton Museum that tell your stories through sexual or gender identity.
Queer Looks at MuseumLab
Brighton Museum’s MuseumLab encourages the collaboration and exchange of ideas between curators and the public to help to shape your museum. Tomorrow, we will once again be opening the MuseumLab doors for curators to meet with you, see your outfits, and hear your stories.
We will be photographing and filming you talking about your clothes, why and where you wore them, and what they mean to you. Queer Looks will feature a selection of outfits as well as audio and film of stories from participating LGBTQ residents.
So if you’ve got an outfit that displays who you are or were, we want to see it and hear your story!
