The Royal Pavilion & Brighton Museums is taking part in Twitter’s #MuseumWeek from 24-30 March 2014 and would love for you to get involved! There will be a different theme each day exploring specific aspects of Brighton Museums’ fascinating buildings, events, staff and history. Whether you are a Brighton Museums regular, have recently visited for the first time, or have yet to visit we want to hear from you!

To take part you just need to follow us @BrightonMuseums and include the daily hashtag in your Tweet.

The running order for each day is as follows:

Monday #DayInTheLife – Helen Mears, Keeper of World Art will be taking over the Brighton Museums Twitter account for the day to document a day in the life of a Museum Curator. Helen will be tweeting fascinating insights and behind-the-scenes looks into the little-known life of a World Art keeper!

Tuesday #MuseumMastermind – Tuesday’s theme will focus on quiz questions drawn from our online collections. Join in and you might win something…

Wednesday #MuseumMemories – On Wednesday we are inviting Tweeters to share their memories and favourite visits to Brighton Museums. Tweet about your favourite thing in the museum – anything from items for sale in our shops to your favourite exhibition object.

Thursday #BehindTheArt – Thursday will see us using our digital collections to tell stories about the history of the Museum buildings. Share what you know, or would like to know about any of our venues; we are always looking to discover hidden facts, stories, images and trivia.

Friday #AskTheCurator – Katie Hobbs, Curator of Decorative Art will be hosting a Q&A session on Friday 2-5pm. All your burning Decorative Art questions will be answered!

Saturday #MuseumSelfies – Take a photo of yourself in a Brighton Museum in your favourite gallery or next to your favourite object and post it on Twitter with the hashtags #MuseumSelfies and #MuseumWeek
