Depending on what is given any of the above could happen; except we don’t eat them nor do we sell them. An item might not fit the Acquisition and Disposal Policy, but still be initially accepted with the understanding that the museum has the rights to it and can do with it whatever it likes. This could include transferring to another museum or organisation which would be more appropriate to have it.
