Brighton History Centre gets a Facelift

As 2010 rolled in it was considered necessary to change the look of the Brighton History Centre. This meant it was time to say goodbye to the ‘Digging the Dirt’ display which had been in place since 2007, and to replace it with a reading area that could be considered both welcoming and relaxing. Two sofas were brought in from the History Centre foyer, and tables were rearranged in order to make the room appear larger and more accessible. This move ties in with the recent Collections Review being undertaken at RPM, so that even though an archaeology display has been removed, one will be installed in the Windows on the Collections case opposite the History Centre entrance. Some more objects will also be on display in a case situated within the History Centre itself.
