This summer (until 6 October) interactive artists Blast Theory invite visitors to try a new digital experience in Brighton Museum.

Visitors to museums across the world share tens of millions of photos every year. Gift takes that sharing experience to a whole new level.

With the Gift app you can create a digital gift for someone special. Choose exhibits from around the museum that you think that person would love, and record a message for them. The app will wrap up your gift and send it to the person you’ve chosen.

To get a sense of how Gift works in practice, watch the video below based on an early prototype.

How does it work?

There is no need to download an app before you visit. You’ll be given instructions when you arrive, and you can make use of the museum’s free wifi to access Gift.
