Brighton & Hove’s Photography Club, a Photoworks project, enables the city’s 13-16 year olds to meet regularly, develop their camera skills, produce photographs for a display and gain an Arts Award certificate. This year the club has collaborated with Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and their activities have been inspired by its Constable and Brighton exhibition, with young people retracing the artist’s steps and exploring the local landscape he painted almost 200 years ago.
Using their new photographic skills, club-members have created intriguing modern-day narratives from photoshoots at Rottingdean Windmill, Brighton Beach, St Ann’s Well Gardens and Devil’s Dyke.
