Small display
South Balcony, Brighton Museum

For technical reasons, this gallery will now close slightly earlier than planned. The final day of opening will be Tuesday 16 October. However, the Map the Museum interactive can still be accessed in the Brighton History Centre or online. For further details see our blog.

How can digital technology be used to provide new ways of accessing and thinking about museum collections? To explore this question, we’ve opened up some of our collections data, and invited coders and digital artists to see what they can build from it. We’ll be showcasing some of this work, and are offering £8000 to fund the development of one project into a final product.

You can learn more about the project on our blog. The project is now closed for submissions.

Part of the Brighton Digital Festival.

Brighton Digital Festival is a celebration of digital culture. It is run by members of Brighton’s arts and digital communities, administered by Wired Sussex in association with Lighthouse and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
