An exciting opportunity has arisen for a casual Night Security Officer to join our 24 hour security team. This is a key role in supporting the team to deliver and maintain excellent levels of security to all of the buildings belonging to the newly formed Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust (RPMT). The Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum will be your main place of work with opportunities to work at Hove Museum, Booth Museum and Preston Manor.

We are looking for staff to assist the Security Team in making sure that the buildings, collections, visitors and staff stay safe and secure. The postholder will be on site on a casual basis covering staff leave and ensuring the smooth running of the service which runs for 365 days a year. 

This is a public facing role and the post holder will be expected to interact with the public, staff and contractors answering questions or helping with enquiries when needed. A full list of duties is provided in the attached job description.

As this is a casual role, there are no guaranteed hours. You will be contacted when shifts are available, and you can accept or decline the shift to suit your circumstances. You may be offered shifts at weekends and on bank holidays when you’ll receive additional pay.

Please note that this role does not meet the requirement for the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) Points based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the right to work in the UK.
