Garden Greeters

Last Friday (19 May 2017) saw the launch of this year’s ‘Garden Greeters’ scheme on the Royal Pavilion Estate.  The 13 volunteer Greeters will be on duty in the Royal Pavilion Garden 11am – 3pm each Friday, Saturday and Sunday (apart from Pride weekend), weather permitting, until 30 September.

Royal Pavilion & Museums’ Learning, Engagement and Volunteer Manager, Helen Graham, said:

‘After a very successful first run last year we have recruited and inducted another enthusiastic team of Garden Greeters to provide a welcome to the Royal Pavilion Estate, giving out information about its buildings and their activities including Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, the Royal Pavilion, the Royal Pavilion Garden, the Dome, the Chapel Royal and the Theatre Royal.  Each Greeter will have a folder on the history of the buildings and garden along with lots of useful info for visitors, and we will also have a table offering useful leaflets and maps.’

The Garden Greeters will be wearing purple T-shirts and fleeces, and carrying purple Garden Greeter tote bags.
