Come and see what it is like to be an archaeologist. Learn how to interpret your ancient past and find out what it is like to be a member of an important local society.

Digging the Dirt examines the personalities who have been members of the Brighton and Hove Archaeological Society (BHAS) and the important digs, such as those at Whitehawk and Itford Hill, that they undertook using images, interviews and artefacts from excavations.

Through a series of specially designed, hands-on gallery interactives, find out about archaeological techniques and experience a re-created excavation of a Roman villa.
