Brighton News Story – 23 September, 1793: “Foul weather compelled his Royal Highness to decline the command…”

Monday the Prince returned to Camp, near Brighton to the great joy of the whole line – the weather was on that day unfavourable, but the piquets were exercised in the afternoon as usual.  Wednesday it came to the Prince’s turn to be Colonel of the day, but the foul weather compelled his Royal Highness to decline the command.
