Brighton News Story – 19 September, 1801: Prince falls down stairs

The Prince of Wales, instead of being at Weymouth, on a visit to his Royal Parents, as reported in most of the public prints of last week, we are extremely concerned to state to our readers, was confined to his bed at Brighton, in consequence of the hurt which he received from a fall-down a flight of stone steps, he was hastily descending, on the evening of yesterday se’nnight, by which unfortunate accident his intended journey to Weymouth, on the following day, was prevented.
