Brighton News Story – 7 September, 1789: Foundations laid for dog kennel

Last week the foundation of an elegant dog kennel, for the reception of the Prince of Wales’s stag hounds was laid in the North-Fields near Brighthelmstone.  The plan, we hear, is a draught of Mr Holland, and that the building is to be finished in a month, and inclosed by a commodious paddock of six or seven acres.
