From the inhabitants of the Borough of Brighthelmstone: “Having duly weighed; and maturely considered the plan, which on the part of your Royal Highness has been laid before us, for stopping up, and inclosing a certain part of the old road, opposite the Pavilion, and opening a new road through Church Street into North Street; and having most cheerfully and unanimously consented thereto”
