Fine Art Gallery improvements

To enable us to install new lighting tracks and fittings quickly and safely, all of the first floor galleries will be closed to the public from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 March 2017. Admission to the ground floor galleries will be free to all visitors during this period. Access to Museum Lab activities will be unaffected, but the Babies in Museums event on 7 March is cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause.

Three galleries are dedicated to displaying works from the Fine Art collection. The Prints & Drawings gallery houses displays which are changed every six months or so. The Paintings gallery is changed every two years. The Heyer gallery houses the Heyer Bequest.
