The Royal Pavilion and Museums’ Access Advisory Group is made up of individuals with expertise and experience in making arts and heritage accessible to all.
The group was set up in April 2011 to inform the design of the new World Stories: Young Voices gallery. They meet every two months.
Sarah Playforth, a member of the group and a Diversity & Equality consultant says:
“I really enjoy being part of the Access Advisory Group, which is a very collaborative team that has provided generous amounts of expertise and experience from a wide variety of backgrounds to the gallery designers to ensure it will be accessible to all. All our views have been listened to, discussed – often at length – and acted on. This has enabled us to feel we have played a real and valuable part in supporting everyone’s right to enjoy the new World Stories gallery.”
