The Great Escape presents at Brighton Museum
Saturday 16 May

A limited number of tickets are available on Saturday 16 May for this very special Museums at Night event hosted by Brighton Museum and The Great Escape. The gallery spaces inside Brighton Museum will be transformed by a series of exclusive acoustic performances from a whole host of artists hand picked by Europe’s leading festival for new music.

Come and join us and you might just catch the next big thing!

Featuring:

8-8.30pm – Lowpines – Lo-fi Americana pop songs. Here’s what the musos think:

“Beautiful” Lauren Laverne 6Music

“a slow-burning torch song that could safely guide you through the disorientating wilderness of heartbreak.”
Q Magazine – Tracks of the week

8.30-9pm – Moumoon – moumoon is a made-up term with a French word “mou(soft)” and “moon”: soft moon. Yuka’s soft, warm and edgy voice is like no other and the impressive melody that Masaki creates unite beautifully. Their songs with sensitive and dynamic arrangements gently embrace listeners like the phrases of the moon.

8.45-9.15pm – Daisy Victoria –  the child of a former cyclist and hairdresser, Daisy Victoria has been described by Lauren Laverne as ‘a rising star’, and released her second EP ‘Nobody Dies’ on 30 November 2014.

“If PJ Harvey and Kate Bush defied science and procreated, Daisy would be their love child” London In Stereo.

9.15-9.45pm – Charlie Straw – Originally from the Wirral and now based between Leeds and London, Charlie’s musical influences vary from Johnny Flynn and Ray LaMontagne through to Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. His music sits somewhere between Folk and Blues, drawing on love and heartbreak, and everything else that his formative years have taught him.
